TRAINING OF W.U.A TRAINERS FOR COMMUNITY RADIO ENDS

The two weeks training of Water Users Association (WUA) members on operation, management and maintenance of Community Radio stations has ended. It is a project of the Transforming Irrigation Management in Nigeria (TRIMING) under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Water Resources, facilitated by Kaduna Media Academy.

The training, which began on 1st December, 2018, drew 35 participants from various River Basin irrigation schemes, including project managers who are expected to step down the skills acquired to the end-community users who will drive the farmer radio project.

The training covered broad thematic concerns including the enabling skill sets to drive the Behavioral Change Communication necessary for farmers to own the narrative as part of efforts to boost and sustain the overall agricultural revolution.

It involved exposing participants to concepts, skills and practices, including case studies and best practices derived from field trips to Kaduna based radio stations.
