The Sokoto Rima River Basin Development Authority was established in 1976 to coordinate various projects under the Sokoto Rima and Middle Rima River Basins.
The TRIMING project intervention under this RDBA covers the Bakolori Irrigation scheme, the Bakolori Dam rehabilitation (in Talata Mafara, Zamfara State) and Middle Rima Valley Irrigation Scheme, and Goronyo Dam rehabilitation (in Goronyo, Sokoto State) with the Zobe Dam Rehabilitation ( Katsina State).
